The journey of over 6 months has come to an end. From the regional auditions, through the Top 100 to Top 12 stages, it has indeed been not only an emotional draining task, but an energetic exercise as well. Many whom we have developed likeness for on the show got evicted along the way and also we heard stories that touched the heart from some of the contestants. More importantly were stories of people who strove to overcome hurdles to ignite their dreams; Nigerian Idol season 2 has really connected with the Nigerian youths and have given them a platform for to showcase their singing talents.
It will not be complete without commending our delectable judges in persons of Jeffrey Daniel, Yinka Davies and the eccentric Charly Boy. They had the great task of auditioning thousands of contestants, about 10,000 to be precise and having to play a role in deciding their fate as regards their journey on the show.
Great leap it is for us on season 2 as we have broken and shattered all records in respect to reality television shows in Nigeria. We are beamed across 15 countries, grown our followership tremendously on the social media and have recorded unimaginable number of hits, page views and unique visitors online.
